I not care much about the material of Japanese(or Chinese) glass rod, while I am very interested in flick casting of their Glass rod.
Flick casting is not just aesthetic, but also very functional in fishing.
The best way to mastering flick casting efficiency and accuracy is to load the rod up and let the rod itself do the work launching the lure for you.
So instead of winding up and reaching way back to hurl the rod with your whole body,
it's more of a tight, circular sidearm whip that loads the rod tip and flicks the lure out there. it's an aesthtical motion like the dancing, you will be addictive to it.
More important, it's very useful cast in narrow spot where other casting can not be done at all.
Some guys use two hands to make sidearm flick cast, one over the reel seat where you would normally hold a rod and one on the rod butt. That's a more effective way, but is not necessary in most cases, I love flick casting as I please. Just enjoy doing it.
Drop the lure down 6 to 8 inches from the tip and begin your fist flick casting.

I have bought some other brands of glas fishing rods in the past but and a big one at that is the glasfin rod, gentleman's this is a serious rod at an affordable price, it feels like a carbon rod but is so good for flick casting that is like an extension of your hand i absolutely love it
I have gone through so many rods in the last few weeks, but I think this Finesse Flick casting rod is the the best match for the conquest bfs.
This little glass rod is a well made and a beautiful design. The action of the rod is very soft action at the top of section of the rod, and the back of the rod has good back bone.This rod main design for Flick castingin small bodies of water such as Streams,creeks,canals and small areas in general. Paired with my Alphas air TW with upgraded Hedgehog Studio bearings, I'm able to cast down to .5g jighead with a micro size soft plastic around 30-40ft range and that distance that's more than enough for small areas of fishing.Overall I like this rod and very fun that's what fishing is all about.
This rod is an underrated rod in my book,performs on a high level fiberglass rod and doesn't cost what some of the popular bfs fiberglass rods do,such as Dan Kung's GLASSFIN which is 120+ dollars. the tip part is fiberglass and the handle part is graphite. Excellent flick casting capability. I yesterday landed a tiger trout at a narrow spot with this hybrid rod.
got my Kuying Teton TTC-632UL ordered 17 days ago. I looked forward to it. Arrived yesterday,it's a calm day and got one of my reels(Daiwa Steez Air TW) to cast down to 1g, the first cast was about 25 meters, great flick casting capability.
I used Teton rod TTC 662L. Where I fish there is a lot bushes, over hanging trees, and I'm not trying to break a rod but also I don't want to loose sensitivity. So I thought I need a rod for flick casting. I am not a big fan of fiberglass. DANKUNG recommended this rod to me, it just works awesome for my complicated bushy fishing spot, flick cast the lure out precisely with a short motion of rod.
got this XIAOJU rod today . Super noodle and great fun with panfish and other small fish. Easy loading for quick little flick casts. Very fun to fish. The relatively short grip doesn't bother me as much as I though it would too. Insteadly it's very good for flick casting in tight areas.
It's solid and well built. And a milestone reel! .After using this, I genuinely believe that DC controlled reels represent the next step for the entire reel industry. It provides an incredible new experience. In general, the brake control is exceptional, allowing for not only up to 1000 precise brake adjustments but also numerous other useful controls for different casting techniques via APP. These include flick casting, precise position casting, and casting as hard as you can without experiencing backlash, among others. I have tried on some of them, the presise positon casting function is impressive.
