The metal is perfectly polished, sturdy and the grip is solid. If you didn't read carefully you'll be disappointed with the very small metal balls, the fact is,the small steel balls are not ammo, they are used for fixing the tube. I use the heavier ball for shot.I am very pleased with the rarewood handle, classical aesthetics style and offers very comfortable grip. I once got a similar model here in Walmart,USA. So I was worried about the design and thought they would snap back at me but with this slingshot, I was able to get great leverage and pull it as hard as I know I need to get a proper shot. A great slingshot for both shooters and collectors, but this thing isn't for small kids, very powerful.

hola.
Gracias
saludos

Hi.
The product is really good. very ergonomic, it is manageable and easy to transport. I'm happy with him. just put a little mishap in relation to round rubber, they are very hard. The plans are very good.
In this respect, could you advise me some softer round rubbers? Of those that sell in your store.
Thank you

I'm overall happy with all Dankung tubes, and these ones are again another surprise.
While they are a little less powerful of 1745, they are a Little faster especially for medium ammo like 9-10mm.
I shot most of times with singles cutted at 450% and 9mm balls on any slingshot and I believe this is the best tube for targeting, becasue its velocity and easy to pull.
So targeting use singles, more speed with pseudo tapering and hunting strength is easy reached with a double ones up to 10mm leads.

Obviously I will buy it again, I'm doing it right now, from the ONLY source you should trust for tubes. Here,, DANKUNG!

It came with a big envelope. Much to my surprise, it just took 14 days although I used a cheap brief tracking option. Shooting well in cold backyard without cold effect. Love these PREMIUM tubings.

I'd like to share one of my newest dankung slingshots. When I saw this on the dankung website, there were other models (general, butterly, antelope, fox, and fox with aiming point) that had overall height of 8cm and this King Shrimp model was listed as 9cm. Since I have larger than avg. hands, I opted for this one and I'm glad that I got this because I can just wrap my pinky around the end of the handle. If I had gotten other ones, it would have been way too small. But I am interested in the other mini models, I asked dankung if they could make me a custom. I'm waiting for their reply so I let you know if this is possible.

Now going back to the subject on hand, the Mini Shrimp had one of the best handle wrap I've seen in any Chinese slingshots. The wrap is tight and very well done. The material of the wrapping is also my favorite. It was a suede like texture that I can see will absorb sweat, not making it slippery in my usually sweaty hands. It came with the lanyard you see in the pictures. The gourd you see seems like some type of horn. It is lovely.

I've been using this slingshot with the stock looped 1632 tubes to shoot BB's. The tubes are little short but it works. When this wears out, I'm planning to use single strand 1632 tube setup to shoot BB's.

I'm totally blown away by this slingshot that I'm planning to add more dankung mini's to my collection. I just wish Dankung gave the option to select the color of the wrapping material. Also my Mini Shrimp didn't come with positioning grooves but I sure wish that I had them. Getting the other versions of the mini in King Shrimp size (9cm height) would be a dream. Imagine butterfly, fox and antelope in a larger hand friendly size.

The precise .6 green and the .75 orange are great products for the catapult enthusiast! Also the new tying ribbon material is really good as well as the pouch tying jig.

I like the .25 (I think it is) solid rubber for tying the band sets to the catapult frames.

Many thanks,

I recently received a free Jungle Hunter slingshot from Dankung. Dankung explains that the Jungle Hunter is ‘designed in USA’, and specially adapted for western shooters (considering the different hand size and shooting style).

Compared to my General slingshot, the Jungle Hunter is significantly taller, with most of the additional height in the handle, but some additional height in the fork, too. The Jungle Hunter is also wider (mostly the fork), and it has straighter lines. As it is to be expected, this size increase comes with a weight increase, going up to 143gr (while the General has a weight of 112gr).

Both slingshots are made by casting the Stainless Steel into a mold, not from cold-bent rods. As for the finish, the General is fully polished, while the Jungle Hunter is not (unpolished areas are the inside of the handle, and the gaps in the ‘ears’ of the forks, where the rubber bands are attached).

The Jungle Hunter feels very sturdy, but it also feels a little heavy in the hand. It is a straight (non-ergonomic) model, and the forks have no grooves to help keep the tubing in place.

I can comfortably shoot the General slingshot using a Chinese style grip. The Jungle Hunter, is little big for me to use a Chinese style grip, though I can manage. For a hammer grip, I find that the handle is too thin, and would need lots of wrapping. Instead, I may add a wooden grip to the handle (much like Joerg Sprave did with a Panther slingshot).

Since my hands are not particularly big, I prefer the General slingshot over the Jungle Hunter.

Dankung.com You have done it again.

Comment:

Hi all my Rosewood frameless slingshot arrived at my house in the U.K this morning, absolutely beautiful top quality, highly polished finish. I have not had chance to try it out yet as we have got snow at the moment here in the U.K and it is very cold, but just looking at it looks like it will be lots of fun. I recommend all to buy one and will definitely tell and show anyone in the local slingshot community. Thank you Dankung i know i am going to have hours of fun with this. Thank you again John.
p.s I think you aught to change the name to Seahorse Slingshot as it looks like a Seahorse, again thank you, John.

I recently purchased a second Plastic (POM) X6 slingshot, as this is my preferred slingshot. There’s really not much to add to the review I did a few months ago, as the slingshot is basically the same.

However, this time I asked for a Black slingshot, and I noticed this version is slightly heavier (64gr instead of 55gr), and thicker than the Brown slingshot I already had. This does not add much bulk to the slingshot, but it looks sturdier.

As I mentioned before, I don't get any kind of warning signs at the slingshot being made of plastic, my Brown slingshot really feels sturdy. In any case, if you feel the need for a sturdier slingshot, go for the Black color option.

The Dankung Steel Howling Wolf is a small but mighty powerhouse slingshot, it fits the hand perfectly, the aiming dimps will help you get on target everytime, make sure you start off by way of using easy draw bands in order to get used to it first, it's also one beautiful looking and a well made slingshot just as all other Dankungs slingshots are, the price is very reasonable considering the solid stainless steel material and structure, you just cannot fault a Dankung slingshot!

I enjoy shooting PRECISE band with 3/8" steel balls.

My draw is 32". my band is a little tapered. The PREICES
band would likely need to be doubled up or cut wider for using 1/2" steel balls. The velocity is sort of decreased in cold days, but much better than other bands.

Arrived today with 1842 loops attached. It's super smooth; slippery even. So the first job was to wrap it in some black handle fabric and then take aim and shoot.

It's an amazing slingshot for a number of reasons. The weight feels reassuring in the hand; not too light and not too heavy, just solid.
The fit in the hand is perfect. I don't have to overstretch the thumb and forefinger to brace the forks and the bottom of the slingshot finishes at the base of my palm. It's larger than I anticipated but is probably more comfortable because of this as there is a little more to hold.
There is a gentle curve along the length that means you can keep a straighter wrist when shooting; it's very very subtle but helps to make shooting more comfortable (that word again).
The distance between the forks is great for shooting gangster style. For me the anchor point is natural and I don't feel the need to be thinking consciously about raising or lowering where I anchor the pouch which would suggest that the width of the forks is ideal for me. I have also tried shooting it in the upright position and found the reference point pretty fast but I think gangster style is more instinctive with this frame.
The 1842 looped tubes felt strong on this frame and were pretty zippy. You could easily use larger tubes but with that comes more draw weight and as a result you find yourself having to grip the slingshot harder which can leave your hand fatigued sooner than either using a smaller draw weight or a frame with more volume.
I intend to get some plugs to try some flat bands next.
It's easy to conceal in either your hand or pocket.
I think this will probably be my go to frame from now on for all the reasons above. The one thing to improve the use of it when you receive it is to wrap the handle.

Top top frame

plug converters to flat-bands are great for Dankung slingshots they let you use your favorite Dankung with bands and makes band changing as quick as tubes but to make your shoots as repeatable as possible try making area where bands attach to fork as thin as possible by folding flat-band into a tube shape
